How to fix every game not playing error

Follow these instructions to fix everything
right click on file , properties , Compatabilty Tab , Run this program in
compatibilty mode for Windows XP Service Pack 2

Not just XP. I mean, if it worked with 98, you won't set it to XP,
obviously.
Now, be sure to download any patch released for the game and run it as
administrator.
I got Grim Fandango (1998) to work on Vista like that. Just try.

I've tried every OS compatibility available to run Tiger Woods
2007...unfortunately it defies this "fix all".

This will help with MANY games though I am sure.

There's a compatibilty update for VISTA on Windows Update today --
refers to lots of games and applications.

Cameron, you definitely have my attention! Could you be a little more
specific as to where I might find this particular FILE tab that I need to
right click? I tried FILE in Poga and on my IE homepage but didn't see a
compatibility tab. Thank you...

It's the EXE file for the game, this does not apply to internet based games
unless they store the game data on your hard drive, then you'd have to hunt
down the programs exe and try it.

How do I utilize the update? Do I need to uninstall battlefield 2 and then
reinstall it I'm still getting a missing d3dx9_25.dll error and have done
everything I have seen.....
