Tiger Woods 2007

This is the only game I've had trouble with running under Vista. Running in
compatibility for XPsp2 forces an incorrect "please insert cd" when it is.
At the conclusion of each hole a scorecard/scoreboard appears and causes the
display driver to crash. I've tried a few different settings etc but no luck.
This is the newest PC Golf game out there--isn't it? Someone must have a
trick or tip to get this game running under Vista.
or I bet there are quite a few disgruntled armchair golfers out here...

Any tips/suggestions will be appreciated.

Re: Tiger Woods 2007

It seems a fair number of people are having trouble with this game. I read
over in the Tiger Woods forums that peopel were able to get the 2005 version
to work fine, but couldn't get the 2007 version. If I had any interest in
that style of game, I would go buy it, just to see if I could get it to
work. But I don't care for golf games...

If everything works under XP mode, then I would suggest looking at possibly
going to a place like gamecopyworld.com and grabbing a no CD crack to get
around the Insert CD issue.

This actually got the game running--thanks. There are other / different
problems now but your suggestion does get the game to continue from hole to
hole without crashing the display driver. Now large sections of graphics are
shaded in black and white and some graphics are all black or missing...weird
stuff.
There's more awry here. (drivers: I'm using 101.41 from nvidia and all
other latest for mb, sound, dvd, etc.)

Re: Tiger Woods 2007

If you are using a nvidia card, there is an ongoing battle with drivers and
Vista. Someone had brought this up awhile back and I looked in the EA forums
and there were several people running the game, but they all had an ATI
card. So you're going to be stuck waiting a little while longer while nvisia
sorts out their drivers.

On a side note, I'mplaying Supreme commander, which is an official Games for
Windows Certified game and though I wasn't having a direct problem with it's
SecureRom, the boards were full of people having issues. Funny enough, Under
Vista, I could only get the game to work, if I had it in my First DVD rom
drive and I had to take out my Battlefield2142 DVD as well.

THQ and Gaspowered games actually listen to the complaints and in their last
patch removed the DVD check. I mention this, because I was getting much
BSODs under Vista and SupCom, until I loaded a DVD crack for the game. I'm
still getting CTDs, but that's better than a BSOD.

That won't fix it.
EA says wait for TW 2008
I guess they have to have something different in it so thee can call it a
new game Welcome to TW2008! Everything is the same except you can run it
under Vista! for only 39.99

This was one of my most played games and now it's dead.
I keep hoping the next video driver will fix it but I'm not holding my breath.

RE: Tiger Woods 2007

Newest NVIDIA driver solves the problem for me. Driver version is a "beta"
atm but fixes TW2007. --->google for driver version 165.01.
