FS 2004

I upgraded my OS from Windows XP to Windows Vista. now FS won't run.
I can get plane on runway ready for takeoff but nothing from there.
Any suggestions?

Re: FS 2004

Did you upgrade your video card drivers? Are you getting a blue screen when
you get to the runway?

Getting to the runway and it blue screening (or crashing to desktop) is a
common issue, even with XP.
Most of the time its due to faulty video card drivers or AA settings. There
are many threads at the AVSIM forums with issues like that.

Re: FS 2004

I did driver update and got message that driver was up to date. Have not
experienced a blue screen. When sitting on the runway and advance the
throttle, the sound works as if it is moving but screen remains the same. If
I press the "s" key, the screen flashes back and forth from sitting on runway
to the actual flight.
Very unusual.
Any more help would be appreciated
Thanks,
jimbar

If you have an ATI card, go to www.ati.com to get the latest Vista driver.
If you are using an NVIDIA based card, go to www.nvidia.com to get the
latest Vista drivers. Going to the drivers properties sheet and trying to
update video drivers from there won't work.

Re: FS 2004

One more interesting note about FS 2004...after it didn't work properly, I
uninstalled it the installed CSF WWII Europe Series. This goes back to 1998.
It works fine!
Strange.
