Currently have approx 70 processes running. Would like to setup a user
"Gamer"
that would be running the bear minimun services & processes. To minimize
lag.

Any suggestions on where to start? Is it possible?

It is certainly possible: create a new user and log on then run
msconfig.exe from Start/Run and check the startup items and the
services, turn off what you recognize and do not need, then test what
else you can turn off until Vista still runs :-)

I would say that you probably neeed to examine your system. I have a fully
funstional system and it only runs around 41 processes. If you bought a PC
from Dell or HP, then you get an extra 20-25 Processes that are completely
worthless in my opinion. Most all of them can be removed.

Run msconfig, go to startup and uncheck them, if it actually does break
something, you can always restart them
