| | FSX doesn't save flights In Flight Simulator X, I hit semicolon in the middle of a flight to save it, put in a name for a saved flight and a description, then hit OK. The dialogue windows disappears without an error message of any kind, but then I can't locate that flight anywhere. I pick Free Flight, then Load, and the flight I just saved is not there! Somebody please help! Does this have anything to do with User Account Control or permissions for hard disks? I've turned UAC off, and selected Full Control permission for all drives except C, but the problem is still there. For some reason, Vista won't let me set Full Control permission for the C drive or for any part of it, say, Program Files folder. Is this the problem and how do I get around it? Thanks for any help! Try changing the write permissions as the admin. |

Thanks for advice! I am the only user so I am the admin. I did try to run Windows Explorer as administrator, and found that I could change permissions for some folders but not for others. Would anyone happen to know the folder where FSX is supposed to put saved flights, or is there a configuration setting where I can tell FSX to put them where I want them? TIA |

I've read on another forum that sometimes FSX fails to create this folder at setup for whatever reason. I tried adding this folder manually, but FSX still does not want to save anything in it. ![]() I even tried reinstalling FSX making sure I run the installer as administrator. Same effect ![]() |

| | Re: FSX doesn't save flights It's on a separate physical drive. I guess the next thing I'll try is actually installing it on a C drive.
