Vista - kotor vista problem

i just bought a new hp with vista. i am trying to run Knights of the old
republic but when i try to run the game it does nothing except leave the
spinning disc cursor. i have a geforce 7500le graphics card. i have
updated that and i have installed the game on xp comapatabillity and i
still have the same problem. does anyone know how to fix this?

Sounds like you're getting bit by the Copy protection of the Disc.Have you
checked to see if there are any patches for your game ?

Have you tried right clicking on the desktop short cut and choosing run as
administrator ? (See example)

Have you looked for patches for your game ?

Finally, without promoting piracy, have you looked over at gamecopyworld.com
to see if there is a cracked EXE, that let's you play without the Disc ?
Might be your only hope.

ya i always run it in admin mode. and the no cd thing ddint work it
still wont run... becuase its a new graphics card it wont read my
drivers so it says they are out of date. anyone have suggestions?

I want to say that HL2:lost coast was giving me that outdated driver error
when running under Vista64. Funny enough, none of the other games I have
tried (Quake 2 WarCraft 3), have giving me an out of date driver message.
just HL2.

So when you say doesn't run, do you mean it still does nothing ? Or does ti
flash for a second and then go back. Look around in your KOTOR folder and
see if it has any kind of log file, that might point you to where you
problem is.

What video drivers are you using ?

what it doeas is when i click play the pic of the ebon hawk comes up the
spinning disc cursor comes up like its loading the game, then the pic
goes away and th cursor is still left there. it will stay there until i
restart the computer. ya i have updated it, did nothing. there are no
error logs since it doesnt crash it just never starts. i have tried
both of the visas drivers from the nvidia site the beta and the full. i
recently got the scan the game does to pass saying my drivers are fine
but i still get the same problem when i try to run it
