C&C 3

I am having a problem with installing the game.

the auto run starts up ans i click on install game and that windows goes
away and nothing else happens.

vista will not allow me to explore the cd or even see that there is anything
on the cd. I'm not sure what to even try next.

Please help

First off, it should be on a DVD, not a CD. Second, did you turn off UAC
and reboot prior to installing?

Re: C&C 3

no luck there either. When in windows explorer it says drag file here to
add them to the disk. and does not display any files yet the auto run does
start when i click install or setup when you right click the dvd drive.
when i click install when the auto start window opens the window disappears
as though i hit cancel.

Re: C&C 3

Did you remember to reboot after you disabled UAC? Also, is your video card
supported by Vista? I have C&C 3 working fine in Vista Ultimate RTM x64.
I even downloaded the latest patch today so now it is at version 1.03

ATI x1600 PRO
X-FI Platinum
AMD X2 4200+
2 x 1GB PC3200 DDRAM
200GB EIDE ATA/133

Re: C&C 3

That's insane 3 patches in it's first week out ! I don't know if I'm
impressed or disappointed. Though all three are pretty small list of fixes.
Guess I'll go with impressed for the moment.

So when I the chance on Tuesday, I can go grab the game, by then Patch 4
should be out and then I can test it under Vista64.

Weeeee !

Re: C&C 3

Note, unless you are signing in with the actual account Admin, then you may
still want to test with the UAC off. having an account designated as admin,
isn't the same as it was under XP. If you are logging in as the Actual
administrator account, then the UAC will not annoy you.
