| | Re: XP games to Vista Hello, We are having trouble with our Window's Vista. We have recently upgraded our computer to the new Window's Vista, but we cannot play Backgammon, checkers, or any games on the MSN. We didn't have any trouble with XP, but since getting the new computer with the Window's Vista we cannot play any of the games online. We upgraded the Active x, it says all is installed properly. When we are on the MSN, invite one another for a game it will open on both ends, but on our end ther's a little circle that keeps going around and around like it's still connecting but nothing happens further than that. I don't know if anything else is missing or what seems to be the problem. Our computer friend doesn't seem to know what the problem is either, he has uninstalled and reinstalled few programs, still nothing to avail. Please help, we are starting to get frustrated with this new program. I look forward hearing from you shortly, thanks. Solve the Problem before it becomes a problem... | | Re: XP games to Vista There isn't anything to do to make them play under a 64bit OSes (whether XP or Vista64 or Longhorn server) I installed Warcraft 3 and Steam (CS, HL2 etc) under Vista 64 with no special effort. Though in most cases, when you go to install such programs, you'll want to right click on the installer (Setup.exe) and choose the Run As administrator option. Sometimes, you might have to right click on that installer and choose properties and choose Compatibility mode and choose to run as XP:SP2 Outside of that, nothing special.
