| | Americas Army Will Not Install I have tried all support solutions to no avail so far, I try to install there's a delay of between 10 & 15 minutes then it asks for authorisation to allow, then it says the program is not responding, it then shuts the program down. I have also downloaded a fresh 2.8 which didnt help either. System is a Dell Inspiron 9400 Intel 2.0 ghz duo T7200 2 gig ram ddr2 667 Ge Force 7900 go 256 meg graphics O/S Vista home |

| | Re: Americas Army Will Not Install Could you tellus what those support solutions are\were ? The natural suggestion would be to ask if you tried running the install with the "Run As administrator" option, Choose XP Comapt mode and if you tried turning off the UAC and running the install. Since it appears you have a laptop, then the questions about where you did an upgrade or if this is a fresh install is also a question. You might also want to post a note over in vistareadygames.com, since some one already reported Vista working there http://www.vistareadygames.com/showthread.php?t=64 "Joe.90" <Joe.90@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:60BB1C8C-8CD5-4DB6-97ED-26E166977CE7@microsoft.com... >I have tried all support solutions to no avail so far, I try to install > there's a delay of between 10 & 15 minutes then it asks for authorisation > to > allow, then it says the program is not responding, it then shuts the > program > down. > > I have also downloaded a fresh 2.8 which didnt help either. > > System is a Dell Inspiron 9400 > Intel 2.0 ghz duo T7200 > 2 gig ram ddr2 667 > Ge Force 7900 go 256 meg graphics > O/S Vista home |

| | Re: Americas Army Will Not Install UAC is the User Account Control. It's the security behind Vista and the main man behind those pop-up messages. You can turn it off by going to Control Panel, User Accounts and it's right there . http://images.filecloud.com/402656/1User_UAC_option.jpg Not sure it will make a difference, but it's something to try.
