Vista - wifes account cannot access spider solitare

my wife (logged on as a regular user) can no longer acceess spider solitare,
but she can log on as guest and play it from there.

when she starts it, it starts up (in taskmgr.exe) and lives for about a
couple of secodns or two, then quits. It never displays a UI or leaves any
other information about why it quit that I can find.

I found that it was quitting with an error code Access Denied (5, if I
recall) but I'm not sure from where it is getting that from.
