Vista - Guild Wars + Vista Premium

guild wars starts, then flickers, and the sound starts. after this, the
screen is black, yet i can see the cursor in GW cursor. any suggestions?

Have you tried the compatibility options in Vista, yet?

yes, i have tried all of the options to no avail.

Sounds like a major issue with your video card drivers. Are you using an
NVIDIA card? I'm using Vista x64 with an ATI x1900 and Guild Wars plays just
fine for me. Maybe there is a new driver update or hotfix for your card?

Doesn't it bother you, though, that if NCSoft ever went under or decided to
turn off the Guild Wars servers that you and I wouldn't even be able to play
locally? I never understood that. They should have put in a single-player
mode like Diablo 2, IMO.

my specs:

1GB RAM
e-GeForce 7300 GS (eVGA Brand)
2.2 GHz AMD Athlon 64, 3700+
250 GB HD

guild wars works!

Guild Wars is a NCSoft game. NCSoft refuses to upgrade to Vista so far, go to plaync.com and read in the support section.
