| | various issues with GFX Im running Vista Ultimate x64.... My machine specs are... Amd X2 4200+ 3GB Corsair XMS Pro ATI Radeon x1800 GTO 19" WideScreen Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty When I run games such as "Natural Selection" ( a half life one mod ) i get around 15 frames per second in what they call the 'ready room', actually in game its fine, until an enemy comes up to me and we fight, it drops to around 15 fps again till the battle is over... this only seems to happen when using OpenGL (the default and reccomended option for this game) When set to D3D this doesnt happen, however all text within the game is corrupted and garbled, and VERY hard to read.... im running the latest ATI Drivers and its a fresh (5 day?) install.. |

| | Re: various issues with GFX When you say the latest ATI drivers, you do mean the 7.4 drivers right ? I've only played a little CS 1.6 and it worked fine. That's about the only HL1 game I've tried playing. Obviously the next question is, have you tried playing a little HL1 to see how it acts ?
