| Guest | Graphics problem with Go 7950GTX I just installed Windows Vista today and expected little trouble in playing my computer games just as I had in windows XP. To my dismay, my expectation was thwarted. I own a Clevo 570u laptop with a Core 2 duo T7200 (2.0ghz) Processor , Nvidia Go 7950GTX, and 2 gigabytes of 667 mhz ram. In Xp, I ran all varriations of Valve games (Half-life 2, Half-life 2 Episode 1, Garrys Mod, Counter Strike: Source) without a hitch running at usually 55-65 FPS. In vista, on the same settings that I was playing on XP (maximum), I get about 25-30 FPS. I really don't know what to say other than I think it might be my driver for my video card, but I can't find a vista version (I had to download some oblong driver from the Nvidia site that wasn't specific to the graphics card). Help! |

| Guest | Re: Graphics problem with Go 7950GTX If you search on the nVidia website there are dedicated drivers for the GO card series. I am pretty sure they are under the Beta drivers section. I will have a look for them as soon as I get time. Failing that have a look on www.VistaReadyGames.com as quite a few members are using the GO cards on Laptops with no problems.
