Vista - run program

On windows xp in the start menu you had a run link in order to install a
program that would not install from the cd but windows vista does not and i
would like to know how do you install a game or a program that will not
install from the cd. When I bought this computer not long ago I asked if
games that ran on windows xp wpuld work on vista and I was told yes. I have
a game that can be used for windows xp but I can not get it to install on the
windows vista program. What can I do?

Call the maker of the game, for example if you're having problems installing
"The Sims 2" (seems to be a common problem here), then check out
http://support.ea.com for assistance.

You might also try "Searching" through this news group, look for the name of
the game, see if someone has already had the problem and had a solution
posted.

Lastly, you could tell everyone here the name of the game, someone might
know how to fix it.
