| | Box Art for Game Explorer? Anyone know how to access Microsoft's large cache of box art for games? In the registry, the BoxArt entry is something like: http://images.metaservices.microsoft...131562fzlx.jpg ; however, I cannot seem to peruse any of the files. Anyone got any ideas? Other options? Thanks, edsager |

| | Re: Box Art for Game Explorer? If I had to "guess" i'd say that Microsoft doesn't want people leeching bandwidth from their server unless Vista is grabbing the image for Games Explorer. You can try to hack into it if you want, but I'd wager it's designed to be restricted to the Vista Games Explorer only. | | Re: Box Art for Game Explorer? Hi, Windows gets its box-art images for legacy games, which doesn't include Game Definition Files (GDFs) with them from All Media Guide (AMG): http://www.allmediaguide.com/ (Specifically, www.allgame.com). -- --Szajd "edsager" <edsager@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:B7F0384B-7FFA-4E80-A07C-50C45E46366C@microsoft.com... > Anyone know how to access Microsoft's large cache of box art for games? > > In the registry, the BoxArt entry is something like: > http://images.metaservices.microsoft...131562fzlx.jpg ; > however, I cannot seem to peruse any of the files. > > Anyone got any ideas?
