Vista - Arthur and the invisibles not wrking...

hello i brought this game authur the invisibles and it is not working on my
new laptop... i go to install it and it goes through to this page that
says....

INSTALLATION ENDED

The installation was interrupted before arthur and the invisibles could be
completely installed.
Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time,
please run setup again.


So i could use some help... i have vista but i dont no if that matters. Also
te game says ONLY DVD COMPATIBLE on the front of the case i dont no what that
means too but any help would be great thanks..

The fact that the installation started means you are reading the drive ok.
Not knowing anything about Arthur and the Invisibles, I can only offer a
couple of suggestions.

1 - check the support website for the game, many times they realize the
install program has a problem with Vista and offer a replacement as a
download.
2 - try running it as administrator and in compatibility mode. Open the dvd
with explorer (right click and select explore) and find the installation
program (usually setup.exe or something similar). Right click on it and pick
properties. Select the compatibility tab and run the program in compatibility
mode for XP. Also check the "Run this program as an administrator". Those
things fix most problems so hopefully they will fix yours!
