Any Game It Seems

I have just brought a Laptop, Fujitsu Amilo Li1705, to be precise ...
However i have now tried loading two games onto this, knowing both
games are fine when i put them on my Computer with XP ...

They install fine and all seems to be going superbly, its starts to
load and then they freeze ... Just stop dead ... The only thing i can
then do is to go to Task Manager ...

Anybody Possible Help Me ...

I'm getting real wound up ...

Which titles are giving you grief on your new Vista laptop? To be honest,
I have had not one single Vista-related compatibility issue with any game
that worked in XP.
I even have both Supreme Command and C&C3: Tiberium Wars (the Kane Edition
at that) installed.
This is a P4 2.6 Northwood-C (overcranked to 2.85 GHz), 1.5 GB of RAM, ATI
AIW 9700 Pro, and Vista Ultimate.

Re: Any Game It Seems

I have an old game (Deadlock) which ran in XP but won't run in Vista, no
matter what compatibility mode I tried. I eventually downloaded the App
Compatibility Toolkit and found that when I set it to "Win95" compatibility
AND added in "ProfilesSetup" (Whatever that is) the game ran fine.

Re: Any Game It Seems

Before you dive into the compatibility Toolkit, have you tried the built-in
compatibility modes for the games?

In the main menu (not in the Games Explorer) find your game and right click
on it. Select properties and then pick the "compatibility tab", try setting
it for compatibility mode for XP. Then close, then right click again and
select "Run as Administrator" - those two things fix 99% of problems and they
are easy to do!
