Vista Home premium FSX DEP problems

I have a dell with AMD Athlon 64X2 5000+ 2.6, ATI Radeon 1300 pro, 2GB memory
-The screen setting is forced revert to vista basic on entry to FSX and I
keep getting DEP crash before / after the main screen intermittently - maybe
worse if appearance settings are high. It tells me it crashes sometimes and
to look at DEP (which can't be switched off) - fantastic game when it works,
but I getting a bit hacked off now.

The reversion to Basic is normal. I originally had some stability
problems under Vista Ultimate 64 bit.

Have you installed Service Pak 1 for FSX? The stability problems were
cleared up after I installed it. You can find it at the URL below.

Re: Vista Home premium FSX DEP problems

If you're using a Readyboost drive, remove it before using FSX. That can
lead to some problems, even with the service pack.

Re: Vista Home premium FSX DEP problems

Seems more stable thanks, only had one drop out, but it was controlled and I
was pushing it to the limits on all the settings (ultra high on all),
switching between planes and probably pushing the buttons to fast!

Many thanks,

PS if you don't know it try tomcat here - 85MB but its awsome
