Not saving UI settings on Everquest

Just got this new computer with Vista and after finally figuring out how to
run Everquest on it, everytime I log off the game and log back on I have to
reset my UI's on my characters. Is there a way I can fix this problem, I had
no trouble with this on XP Pro.

Re: Not saving UI settings on Everquest

Try running it as administrator, right click on shortcut or exe and choose
run as administrator. Perhaps the user account doesn't have sufficient
permissions to save the UI layout to wherever Everquest is saving them too.
Just a suggestion and I don't know if it will work or not but doesn't hurt
to try if you havn't already.

I was having similar problems with LOTR online. The fix for me was to right
click the main folder, access permissions, and give myself full access
rights including all files and subfolders. Looking at the files beforehand
it seemed as though Vista had made all or most of them read and execute
only. Running as administrator did not help in this instance.

(All my games are installed on an external USB hard drive - whether that has
any bearing on this I couldn't say.)
