| | Re: Display Driver igfx stops responding and recovers Can you trick the notebook into installing the 2009 drivers by expanding the file (use WinZip or WinRar).... then going into the Device Manager, clicking on Display Driver, Update Driver and pointing it to the folder that contains the files you just expanded... preferably point it at the *.inf file. This does sometimes work.... and I've done it on notebooks that have the irritating habit of not liking the graphics driver that I want to install rather than the one that the notebook/Windows wants. -- Cari (MS-MVP) Windows Technologies - Printing & Imaging http://www.coribright.com/windows "Morthyr" <Morthyr.3wvajc@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:Morthyr.3wvajc@xxxxxx Quote: > > i have got the same problem, > N when i wanted to update my vga card driver , i couldnt. > coz i have a hp compaq 6720s notebook , with an integrated Intel x3100, > which is a member of intel 965 family as i know , the latest driver for > x3100 is from 2008. the latest 965 driver is 2009 but x3100 told me it > not compatible driver. so i couldnt use that driver, someone can tell me > what1S the problem, and how can i update my 2008 driver, ty > > > -- > Morthyr > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Morthyr's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/124631.htm > View this thread: > http://forums.techarena.in/windows-v...mes/759230.htm > > http://forums.techarena.in > |
