trying to load fsx but will only go as far as the installshield
wizard,toolbar still visible but screen is black and screen freezes,computer
and cards are all capable of running game easily,getting a little frustrated
as the game ran perfectly on my older and much smaller pc. Many Thanks

Do you have updated drivers for all your hardware? It should run with no
patches or any compatibility switches. I have it running on several PC's

What are your system specs? How long have you let it sit with the black
screen? Can you Alt-Tab out of it?

I am running FSX on Vista Ultimate. There have been some rendering issues
when initializing the game which are remedied by pushing the "Windows" button
on my keyboard and then clicking on the fsx icon in the task bar. No
problems with installation.
