Monitor powers down?

Hi, My monitor powers down during some games. I dont run many new games. But
the only 2 i have ran are.

Tiberium Wars C&C 3
And a Beta Fury, MMORPG> Unreal 3 engine.

Roughly 20minutes into a game my Monitor will go into standby. and the only
way to solve this is to reboot my PC. Full Power off.

My Idle monitor off timer was 20minutes. But ive even turned this off. Set
to never turn anything off. and still nothing.

Intel e6600 2.5ghz 4mb cache
Corshair xms2 2gb
x1950 pro, 512mb

Specs.

any help would be appreciated.

Re: Monitor powers down?

Ive searched event logs.

Not found anything in past 24 hours, that links to Sleep/Standby, or Fury.exe

I have found that my computer is going into SLEEP mod. Not just my Monitor

Re: Monitor powers down?

Can you check what is set in your power options? Start/Orb, type power,
click on Power Options

On the left click on the link to control when your computer sleeps.

What does it say?

Re: Monitor powers down?

Have you checked your Power Settings in the Control Panel. Maybe the PC
doesn't recognize the use and puts it to sleep. There have been several
issues with sleep/hibernation in Vista. You might try turning off the Power
saving options and see if that helps.

Re: Monitor powers down?

ok, so

Its not Graphics overheating
Its not sleep timing/power saving - Ive left my monitor on overnight,
nothign. Not even screensaver on
Its not Video driver, tried latest.

And just to add to the wierd, it only does it on Some games,
Or some MAPS in Counter strike. so got to be a graphical element. right?
