| Guest | Do old games workon 64-bit vista? Hey, i am about to buy an hp pc, and it gives me an option of either 32bit or 64bit, software-wise, it doesnt matter, but i got to ask, will my old games like Age of mythology, red alert, etc. work on the 64 bit version? Thanks ~Ismael |

Largely yes, but it depends on what you mean as old games. Age of Mythology probably works, Red Alert 1 probably won't install, I'm thinking it has a 16-bit installer, 16-bit applications won't run on 64-bit Windows. If you want the best compatibility go for 32-bit Windows. If you want the latest and greatest, go for 64-bit. Depends on what you'll be doing with it really. -- Paul Smith, Yeovil, UK. | Guest | Re: Do old games workon 64-bit vista? you can play Red Alert 2 on Vista x64 , but you need to buy "Command and Conquer The First Decade" , its included with all CNC old games and fully compatible with XPSP2 because EA re-write them, so I'm playing Red Alert 2 now with no problem on Vista x64. and I guess you could play others games that comes with CNC:TFD.
