Easy Fix

My problem turned out to be PACE Anti-Piracy.

put this script into a .BAT file
Run the bat file you made and answer yes 3 times.
________add everything under this line____________

@ECHO OFF
ECHO.
ECHO This Batch file will Reset the Pace Anti-Piracy in Battlefield 2142 Allowing it to load again
ECHO Written by Beggin-Strips a.k.a Guy Galluzzo.
ECHO.
PAUSE
ECHO.
ECHO This first Step will remove the Pace Registry key in your HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE once you run 2142 again the entry will be recreated.
ECHO.
reg delete "HKLM\Software\PACE Anti-Piracy"
pause
ECHO.
ECHO This second Step will remove the Pace Registry key in your HKEY_CURRENT_USER once you run 2142 again the entry will be recreated.
ECHO.
reg delete "HKCU\Software\PACE Anti-Piracy"
pause
ECHO.
ECHO This third and final Step will remove the Pace folder in your Common Files Folder once you run 2142 again the folder will be recreated.
ECHO.
del "C:\Program Files\Common Files\PACE Anti-Piracy\Log Files\*.*"
ECHO.
ECHO Once this batch file closes you will be able to play Battlefield 2142 again.
ECHO.
pause
EXIT

tried and tried, but still not working

i have never been so frustrated about a game in my life. i want to play this game so so bad but it just doesn't want to work for me. i have vista premium and i am pretty sure that i have tried all of the tips. ran it in xp compatibility mode, ran as administrator, uninstalledm installed, uninstalled installed, and still did that again about three more times. When i run the game in xp compatibility mode it says that i need to insert the disk, which is obviously already in there. i cannot find this radcle file that they spoke of. i've chosen to view hidden files and the extensions. please if anyone could help it would really make my day. no it would make my year. please anyone. please

What would it take to make you tell us the name of this game? There might be
someone here with experience of getting this particular game to work under
Vista, but without knowing its name, we'd need an oracle first...

And - "this radcle file that they spoke of" - who? When? Why? <reaches for
