interference messing with my games

I am having trouble while playing a video game on my new computer I just
upgraded to vista and when I play my games, I get strange interference. The
interference looks sort of like an old T.V. when somone is messing with the
antena. I am also getting messages that says "Display driver stopped working
and has been fixed" I'd like to stop these problems as soon as possible.

Re: interference messing with my games

andrew, that is the most insensitive and mindless reply i ahve ever seen.

danielz, if you can find out the make and model of your graphics card and/or
soundcard i can help you find the latest drivers.
to find out go into controll panel (i use the non classic view), click on
"hardware and sound", then go to "device manager".
Once in the manager, open up the category "display adapters" and post what
is says here. also do this with "sound video and game controllers".

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/T8Cl...vista_1543.exe

Here is a link to the latest Vista 32-bit driver for your video card Daniel.

Download and save the file in your Downloads folder then simply open the
file and follow the prompts.
Reboot and try the game again.

If the game is working, but you're getting "TV" like interferrence, there is
a possibility that your video card is damaged. Video chips heat up more when
you're playing games, so if the chips are going bad you'll get weird
corruption in the game.

You might take your system to an expert to have it checked out, or add a new
video card to your system, the video card in your system is most likely
integrated into the motherboard, but most systems have an expansion slot
that you can add a new card too.

Hope this helps a bit,
A.
