| | World of Warcraft Leveling Tips. Hey, what's up? http://www.ourated.com/WorldofWarcra...toLeveling.php Welcome to Ourated's World of Warcraft Leveling Guide stratics, hints, and tips newsline! Hopefully, the leveling tips and hints you'll find here will help you completely dominate your WoW Game, whether you're grinding for XP, playing in Battlegrounds, or doing quests! I've been hard at work, searching the web for the best tips on how to level and get ahead more quickly in WoW, as well as some great common-sense tips from my own leveling experience in WoW! Alright! Enough talk, let's get down to business! Leveling Tip #1: When entering a new area, look around to get all the quests available to before launching out on them! This might seem like common sense, but it will save you TONS of time, especially at the lower levels, when you don't have a mount yet. If you can gather all the quests from nearby NPCs all at once, this does two things that save you time while leveling: A) It keeps you from having to run back to the village or town every single time you complete a quest and need a new one, and B) it allows you to multi-quest, which saves TONS of time. For example, if quest #1 tells you to kill 10 mobs, and quest #2 tells you to collect 5 of the items they drop, taking them both at the same time allows you to complete both at the same time, rather than individually! I've definitely saved hours by doing this! Leveling Tip #2: Green Quests are your friend - in this zone, and the next! Sometimes you might think "Oh, I should tackle those yellow and orange quests because I bet they have better quest items or XP". Sometimes this is true! But if you're really looking to get some seriously fast XP, consider tackling all the green quests you have in the zone you're in right now, and then go over to a nearby zone that has green quests for your level, and do all of those as well! By doing this, not only will you get a lot of XP really quickly, but you'll also find some cool quest items you might not have gotten otherwise! Once you've completed those greens, you'll likely be a level or two higher, and other quests will be green, or at least be easier yellows, allowing you to move ahead quickly again! Leveling Tip #3: Some quests just suck - don't do them! We've all had it - that one quest we look at and think "oh, that shouldn't be too hard...." and 3 hours later, when we haven't found the NPC, haven't killed x mobs, haven't collected x number of items, or just plain died a bunch, we realize maybe it wasn't so simple. There's a great answer to all these troubles: the "Abandon Quest" button. Yup, discarding those quests that seem to suck up all your time without promising much payoff really is worth it. Theres enough quests in WoW that are designed to be easy enough to get through in a short amount of time - unless you know a certain quest has a great payoff, or is part of a chain of quests with a great payoff, spending too much time on a single quest probably just plain isn't worth it. Leveling Tip #4: Tradeskills + greens = ultimate multitasking! If you really want to get midievil on your leveling game AND your tradeskilling game at the same time, do some research and find out mobs you need to kill for tradeskill items that are also green to you - just a level or two below you! Sure, you might have to take a flight or run to another area, but what's better than grinding for tradeskill items while getting fantastic XP on the side?! Or, who can beat leveling while getting all the items you need for your tradeskill?! Leveling Tip #5: Don't be afraid to grab a friend! While lots of us like avoiding groups and such because soloing is usually quicker and more versatile, there are those instances where teaming up with someone, even if it's someone you don't know, even if it's just for a single mob, can make life much easier! Take for instance some of the quests that mention "suggested 2 players". If you try it yourself and fail, you may give up because you don't want to spend the time looking around for someone to do it with you... but you shouldn't! Sometimes, grouping up on a mob can be as easy as running to the place where it is/spawns and seeing if there are any other players around there. More than likely, they'll team up with you to take the mob out. Other times, it's as simple as a zone message: "Hey, I'm going to go kill X mob now, anyone else want to join in?". Many times, great loot & xp is available through these quests, and if you abandon them because you can't solo them, you're missing out! Well, that's it for now - hopefully these tips help keep you rockin' through your levels, if you're not 70 yet! Stay tuned for my next email, where I'll throw down some more totally sweet powerleveling tips! Later, Scott http://www.ourated.com/WorldofWarcra...toLeveling.php |
