Minesweeper locks up

I know others have posted help about how to fix the problems with Minesweeper
locking up during the game on Vista. I can't figure out what they're saying.
Can someone give me simple and clear directions to fix this? My husband loves
this game, but he knows even less than I do about computers.

That is just plain rude of you. I am not a troll, just someone with a
problem who asked for help. I've read the other replies for the same issue,
but didn't understand what was said. All I asked for was help.
