System Manufacturer: GATEWAY
System Model: GT5404

Windows Dir: C:\Windows
DirectX Version: DirectX 10
DX Setup Parameters: Not found
DxDiag Version: 6.00.6000.16386 32bit Unicode

I looked up your computer online, the Gateway GT5404...

http://support.gateway.com/s/PC/R/10...09371sp3.shtml

You're using integrated audio and video, if DirectX is unable to "create a
Direct3D device" it could be your drivers are messed up or might just need
to be updated.

Your video card is an Intel Chipset, (945 series), so I went to
http://www.intel.com and found this driver, the latest driver for your video
chipset:

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...rsion&lang=eng

Download this file and run it from wherever, that'll upgrade your video
drivers.

Might help get the game going, it might not.

Basically if your computer can't go into 3D mode then there's something
wrong with your system, either your hardware is freaking out at the attempt
(unlikely), or your drivers are messed up or old (more likely).

This should fix the later, if it does not, call the company that supports
the game.

Do any other games work on your computer? (3d games that pack some punch,
not stuff like Solitare)

-A.

Try http://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx
On the left menu select Graphics > Desktop Graphics controllers > IntelÂ*Â*(r)
82945G Express Chipset
Choose Vista Premium 32-bit
Download the first file.

Like I said I DON'T KNOW if this will fix your problem. It sounds like if
some games work, but some games do not that your system may have other
problems that I can't troubleshoot unless I'm sitting at your system because
well, I'm not good at troubleshooting and I prefer a shotgun approach, BUT
if you call the guys that SUPPORT the game you are having trouble with they
might be able to help.

Most software companies offer free support for their software, just gotta
find their phone number and call them.

Good luck,
A.
