Flight Simulator: Deluxe Edition

I have heard that FSeluxe has caused computer crashes and and even worse on
some computers...I was wondering if anyone knew anything about
this/experienced this/or otherwise.

Thanks

Don't have it and don't want it. It's a real resource pig from what I have
read. Get FS2004 if you don't have it instead. Cheaper and will run much
better.

A flight simmer I know said the following regarding FSX:

"I have FS9 (FS2004) in my computer; I have FSX in a box."

'nuff said.

"nuff said"
That only sounds like half the story.

Part of the other half...
Why did the simmer buy FSX?
Why did the simmer not return FSX after determining unsuitable for his
own use?

Re: Flight Simulator: Deluxe Edition

Got FSeluxe - I did have issues with this when Vista first came out. Many
of those seem to have gone now, with updated video drivers and the new
patch. So much so that I can run it nearly on full speed (all options of
display, traffic, weather etc., on full, or nearly full).
I guess it's dependent on your pc -yeah, it works best on a hi spec machine,
but will run on a slower spec but not with all the options working to full
capacity.

Re: Flight Simulator: Deluxe Edition

Here are my computers specs:

Inspiron 1721
AMD Turion 64 x 2 TL-60 (2.0 GHz/1MB)
2GB, DDR2, 667MHz 2 Dimm
ATI RADEON Xpress 1270 256MB HyperMemory (Integrated)
160G 5400RPM SATA hard drive
Vista Home Premium

What are your thoughts on how it will run on these specs?
