quake 4

i wanted to get quake 4 for my laptop with vista home premium, the windows
games for windows game advisor said it's able to run it but i want to get
second thoughts about this.

my computers info is:

Intel Core 2 Duo T5300 @ 1.73 Ghz
2038 Mb of RAM
Vista Home Premium 32-bit

Mobil Intel 945GM/GU Express Chipset Family
Intel GMA 950

if this one doesnt work then i'd also like to try the halo games, and get
Halo Combat Evolved.

Quake 4, no problem
Halo 2, no problem
Halo 1, are you kidding me?

You won't be runing in uber high res with ultra detail, but it'll run
nicely. Can probably run at your system's native resolution at medium
quality. Just keep those vents clear so all that heat can disipate
correctly. Have fun.

Hi i recently bought Quake 4 and was told in the shop that it would not work
under vista ( works fine on my winXP laptop)
checked out a few sites and on a site for doom3 there was a bunch of text
telling me that flash 9 (not installed on vista ) would fix it . yes it runs
but i cannot get past the first level as the medic ends up running round in
circles and will not follow me ( it worked in the xp version) i am very
curious
see what new video drivers do .
