Vista - Game will not load

I have just purchased Brothers in Arms "Earned in Blood" but it will not load.
I am running Vista home Premium is that the problem?
Can any one help

I got Road to Hill 30 to install and run, I had to download DirectX 9.0c.
But EIB will not run! Try that and see if you can get EIB to run, at least
then I will know that my problem is not DirectX or not........

Have you installed the 1.11 patch? I am not sure if that is for EIB or just
the generic BIA

Another problem, it looks like EIB uses Starforce copy-protection. You will
have to go to the Starforce website (Star-force.com) and download their
latest drivers, as the ones that came on the cd are not compatible with
Vista (I am pretty sure).

I have tried to load the patch but because I can't even load the game into
the computer the patch will not load.

Hi Bill,

I am just going through my games that I've collected from my XP days; and
found that the game mentioned above, is one that is incompatible with Vista,
I have Home Premium also. This is down to the fact that the game installation
routines have not been tested with Vista, only XP. What is the point of
installing updated protection routines to your PC, when the installer doesn't
run properly - just hang; everytime. Ubisoft do not care!!! I once had a
problem with one of their games, and despite my repeated emails to find out
how to solve the problem, I was ignored!!! The company doesn't care once it
gets our money, so we can be the same and avoid the games they release with
the same comtempt!!!

Midway have been very good, as their website provides work arounds,
including ways to get the install routines to work, and instructions on how
to and when to update the protection routines - ubisoft is nonchalant about
it all!! Maybe I should email them, on second thoughts I won't waste my time,
et.c
