No such thing as dumb questions, only dumb answers. (My History teacher from
like 6th grade)
Just looked at
http://www.companyofheroesgame.com/updates/
OK, this is a little tricky. Basically the patch file looks like this...
EN_100_140_Patch.exe
100 or the first number is the version of the game you ALREADY have
installed on your computer. In this case, v1.00. The second number is the
version that the patch updates the game too. In this case, v1.40.
If you installed the first patch, you are now running Company of Heroes
v1.40.
Company of Heroes is currently on v1.71, so there are 2 more patches you
need to update CoH all the way. First you need to get from v1.40 to v1.70,
look for the file ending in:
http://thq.vo.llnwd.net/o10/CoH/reta..._170_Patch.exe
Download and run, follow the prompts, make sure it is sucessful.
Next we'll go from v1.70 to v1.71:
http://thq.vo.llnwd.net/o10/CoH/reta..._171_Patch.exe
Download and run, and CoH should be all up to date. If CoH is running at
v1.71 it might fix a bunch of problems with Vista, if the problem does not
resolve itself just respond here and let us know.
