I wanted to get the sims 2 deluxe edition, i wanted to know if it will work
on my system, here's my systems information

Intel Core 2 Duo T5300 @ 1.73 Ghz
2038 Mb of RAM
Vista Home Premium 32-bit

Mobil Intel 945GM/GU Express Chipset Family
Intel GMA 950


I've read people having it crash and such and well why spend 40 bucks on a
game that wont even work on your computer, i wanted to get this game to kill
time at school.

Sims 2 came out long before Dual Core processors, but given that dual cores
are becoming standard, i'm sure if there was any glaring problem with
running a game like Sims 2 on your system that there would be a patch
available.

The problem is you are running a game on hardware that never existed when
the game was developed. Could there be problems? Sure! Hell VISTA wasn't out
when Sims 2 came out originally. Rest assured your system probably won't
have any issues with a game as mainstream as the Sims.

I'd be suprised if there wasn't any game within the last 2 years that you
could not run on your system.

You could always check www.thesims2.com, see if there's a demo you can try.
Usually demos run on the same engine as the final version of the game, in
other words if the demo works, chances are you won't have much problems with
the final product.

i thought so too, but im just checking because i figured i could run quake 4
but it turns out that i cant because of the graphics card that my laptop has

and i saw the game in stores and it says for OS requirements, Windows
2000(not sure), XP and Vista, so im thinking it will work

Actually there's no reason you shouldn't be able to run Quake 4 on your
system. I would have someone check your system out a bit for "problems".

it said it wouldn't run at intel's website under the page of my chipset and
graphics card. due to low frame rates, here is the page if you would like to

thanks im going to stick with purchasing the sims 2 deluxe and an expansion
pack this coming week
