Vista - Halo combat evolved frezzing

When I reach the mission after the "silent Cartogrpher, it frezzes, and the
message appears: "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered".
Frezzes again 2 or three times, then another messages appears:
"Attempt to reset the dispaly driver failed, windows will shut down so not
cause any damage".
Any ideas please, It is a brand new computer dedicated to games, with a mega
graphics card.
