| | The Sims 2 custom content I had Windows XP before I got my new computer. With my Windows XP, I was able to download custom content from websites and it would be right in bodyshop and the catalog/create a family option. Now, even when I download, save to Documents, EA Games, Sims 2, Downloads, none of my content comes up in the Sims. I installed the games just fine. I tried extracting the RAR files on WinZip, but I couldn't get it to. And, when I download something while playing the Sims 2... (the window that pops up while in a neighborhood that lets you download a few things from thesims2.com), it comes right in the catlog. PLEASE HELP ME!!! |

Only thing I could suggest is to double check and make sure the game isn't saving game data in a seperate folder or something. Maybe try running the game as administrator if you have UAC turned on (Right-click on game icon and choose Run Ad Administrator...). I'd have to experiment and get back to you. In the meantime, check out http://support.ea.com maybe one of their knowledge articles has information on Sims 2 and Vista. Good luck, A. |

| | RE: The Sims 2 custom content Have you enabled custom content by chance?? I remember not doing it myself and wondering for ages why stuff I downloaded hadn't turned up. Before you click on a neighbourhood, a box comes up listing your custom content, theres two check boxes on it (one for disabling and one for enabling cusom content). Is the enabled one checked? If its not, check it and restart your game & the things you downloaded should be there. "Kayla" wrote: Quote: > I had Windows XP before I got my new computer.
