| Vista x64 Ultimate | Re: Blue Screen during gameplay (Halo 2) most likely bad power supply or memory. try pulling a stick of memory and moving the other one round - does error still happen? maybe try failsafe timings in BIOS tell us what power supply you're using - that is a beast of a graphics card |

Can you please explain more about the BIOS failsafe timings? (Current memory timing is 4-4-4-12) Cheers! Run the test to completion, or until you start getting a bunch of errors. Could also try Prime95 for stress testing memory or your CPU in Vista. Good luck... |

| | Re: Blue Screen during gameplay (Halo 2) Thanks for the help you're giving. For your info y'day I got this blue screen while playing FEAR: IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL STOP:0x0000000A (ox404E9D63, 0X00000002, 0X00000000, 0X81CAF870) I'm beginning to think it's a hardware or compatibility poblem. It's probably m memory or Video card conflicting with something. I will try memtest and let you know later. Memory switch had seemed to solve the problem as I played FEAR for a good 15mins but then I got a message that 'Windows Explorer had stopped working' and soon after got a blue screen. The PSU got some very god ratings everywhere I read a review on it. It got good ratings for delivering constant stable power so I guess that's ok. I still think it's a hardware problem. | Vista x64 Ultimate | Re: Blue Screen during gameplay (Halo 2) wow, that's a very beefy power supply, plenty of juice but it does produce heat along with the graphics card i believe you may be overheating. check your cpu and system temperatures - either in windows with asus utility or start bios right after crash and check pc health status. try blowing some air at comp with outside fan and see if that helps. sandra program will list the speeds supported by your memory - but i dont think its memory problem any more. |

| | Re: Blue Screen during gameplay (Halo 2) CPU temp is 25deg celsius constant (Use liquid cooling) System temp is at 35deg celsius constant too I do not think it's an overheating problem. Memtest gave me an error btw but after an overnight memtest session it hung up but I definitely have at least 1 error. Today played FEAR for a solid 30-45mins before it crashed (w/out blue screen , less frustrating at leastThanks all. | Vista x64 Ultimate | Re: Blue Screen during gameplay (Halo 2) i had a similar problem with the corsair memory a while ago - it requires higher voltages 2.2V - the BIOS was not providing the right voltage but a BIOS update fixed it. things to try: download sandra from download.com and under mainboard info find out the other timing modes supported by the memory - then try 1 of the slower modes check and see your memory is getting right voltage (in the BIOS) , maybe bump it up by 0.1V. update BIOS if not up to date i think asus can update from vista visit corsair forum i can see you've put a lot of effort and expense into this system but there is no reason it will not work - good luck |

| Vista x64 Ultimate | Re: Blue Screen during gameplay (Halo 2) ...or alternatively for an easier time .. purchase a small stick of kingston ram - it always boots at 1.8v and may permit faster modes if available - if that works get more - i always keep a stick handy to diagnose memory problems - thanks for reminding me why i dont buy high voltage ram anymore |
