| | Computer Beeps while playing games + OS issues... I've had this problem since Vista (32bit Premium) was installed and now its getting to the point where its ruining my games and also when I quit the game and go back to windows there's weird things happening there too..... Let me explain. When I play a game, say Bioshock for PC for example and I keep my finger pressed on the up arrow to move forward, randomly my computer beeps (from inside the unit) then stops, then does it again, then stops, then my character will jump, I'll take my finger off and just press it once and its fine, it only seems to happen when I have my finger down on keys and its more than one key, it seems to be any key that i keep my finger pressed on when playing a game and this happens in any game. When I quit to windows everything is all messed up, everything looks fine but when I click X to close a window it maximises it, when I try and open a new window in IE it is set to open a new tab when I do that, but now it opens a brand new browsing window with the link. I then click on some shortcuts on my desktop and they all highlight like I have tried to copy and paste them all.... its weird. Only way to fix is to reboot or log off/on. Anyone know whats going on please ? |

| | Re: Computer Beeps while playing games + OS issues... You may have a keyboard driver issue. Look through the installed services and see if there is anything labeled "keyboard", try disabling it. many systems that have custom keyboards (like the ones with little "email" buttons) load a special driver. it could be getting confused. Also, you could try downloading a malware checker and seeing if you have a keystroke logger installed - they tend to mess up repeating keystrokes. Another idea may be to look through the control panel for any user-interface assistance apps like the "Ease of Access Center", many times, repeating keys activate them and they interfere with the games. Hope that helps!
