I cannot play heroes 5 on my laptop.

My laptop is a Vostro 1400 one and I'm sure that its hardware is pretty
okay to play heroes 5.
In fact, I was successful to install the game Heroes of Might and magic
5. However, anytime I launch this game, there is an error telling me that " a
problem caused this program to stop working probably" and the system suggests
me to find for a solution.
What can I do to get this game worked probably ??

Run as Administrator or disable User Account Control
Try right clicking on icon, bring up properties, switch compatibility tab to
use WinXP mode.

Check with the game publishers support website and see if there are
troubleshooting suggestions for Vista or updates.

Well, lets see... Did you install the latest patch?
http://www.ubi.com/US/Downloads/Info.aspx?dlId=1628 (Read the notes at the
bottom of the page first, you have to install 1.04 patch then the 1.041
patch before you install 1.05)

There's nothing mentioned in the patch notes about Vista, but 1.05 does
address a lot of issues with the game regarding stability, so it might help
you...

See if that helps at all, and I'll see if I can find my copy of the game
tonight. Seems to have grown legs on me and walked.
