| | Graphics Hi guys, i have just bought a new GQ desktop. I have been using for about2 weeks when all of a sudden my monitor goes dark and when it comes back on there r purple dots all over my background and there r a lot of purple i'm seeing. Can any of u guys help me |

Of course, while you're back there you also want to check that the cable connection from the computer to the monitor is good, snug, no bent pins, etc. If the problem occurs when connected to a different monitor, then you know for sure the video card is bad. The fact that it is new is irrelevant - if hardware is going to fail, it will usually do so pretty quickly or go for years.
