Monitor Way to dark Worked just fine on xp

    Monitor Way to dark Worked just fine on xp

    I Just upgraded to vista from xp and everything working fine except that the
    display is Just too Dark. I've turned the contrast and brightness up all the
    way but the display is still too dark. Please help PS I'm not a programmer
    pleas answer the question in English that i can comprehend.

    Right-click on the empty Desktop> Personalise> change to your heart's content

    Have you tried turning off AERO? Following on Micks path, click Themes, then
    click in the Themes list box and select Windows Classic and see if thats
    better for you.

    Vista is using different drivers for your video card and your monitor than
    XP. Check for updated drivers for both. The video card is the important one.
    Do you know if you were using a generic monitor driver under XP or a model
    specific driver? If the former, forget about it. If the latter, you might
    want to check to see if Vista is using the model specific driver or just a
    generic driver.
