Sleep and Windows Update

If I schedule Windows Update for 3:00AM, and my computer is in Sleep state
then, when will the Updates get posted? Can the PC be set to wake at 3:00AM
if in sleep mode, or does it just wait for the next conscious state?

thanks,
Dean S
