Vista - Switch between windows in 3d isn't 3d.

Well, I press the "switch between windows" button and I get this blue
rectangle with just the icons of the windows (like there will be the Internet
Explorer symobol). Nothing 3d, why?

As i have vista home premium with 3d windows what version do you have? As 3d
is on all versions except basic
Go to control panel personalize double click then select window colour and
appearance and then open classic appearance properties and make sure windows
areo is selected then click ok i hope this helps you.

don't forget if your computer rating is lower than 3.0, areo (or 3d swither)
will not work. if you want i may have found a found to cheat or bypass that
rating(3.0), but i'll get back to you on that

alright i did a test and it failed, i haven't been able to get around the
requirement of 3.0 as a system score.

My computers rating is 2.0 and I get AERO Glass and Flip 3D, just don't get
the special photo slide shows which requires pixel shader 3.0.

Basic doesn't include the Aero Composer, so it can't do the 3D Flip effects.
You can easily upgrade to the Premium Version, although it will cost you a

(I agree with most that MS should never have made the basic version of
Vista, it makes stuff like this too confusing for users. So I will apologize
