I have windows vista on my computer and I have just one Drive C on my
computer .my husband formated the computer and he didn't know that I had some
files , video and photos on my documents in that drive.
unfortunately, my files are gone.
I used system restore , but it didn't help .
how can I restore ro return back my files and photos?

Re: restore disappear files

You could probably try drive recovery software, but I honestly feel you are
just out of luck.

Installing this will itself overwrite a bit of your unused disk space, but
it is pretty small. You can use it to find any files, that may be still
there:

She said she tried using System Restore afterwards, and there is only one
drive. It can be deduced that she was just using that word incorrectly.

Re: restore disappear files

If you want to get technicial, I'll assume that she used System Restore from
the Vista DVD. And did not find an OS to restore!!!

I doubt it, and it is possible restore files from a high level formatted
drive, although it is not trivial.
