| | Vista file question Recently installed Vista. I tried to save some background jpg imaes to C:\windows\Web\Wallpaper and got this popup "Cannot save C:\windows \Web\Wallpaper xxx.jpg this is a read only file."What I think what is happenind is it is trying to save the wallpaper file as it is a read only file.I have tried uncheckin read only in the propeerties but no joy.I know it'ds not the graphicd program I'm using 'cause I have the same thing on a seperate XP disk .Any info-help is appreciated |

| | Re: Vista file question You probably don't have permission to copy files to that folder. But you don't need to. Just create a folder under C:\Users\youraccount\Pictures name it Wallpaper copy the images there. When you go to select a desktop background (right-click on the Desktop, select Personalize, Desktop Background), just navigate to that folder. It will remember several picture locations, in case you want to change it later.
