Keyboard/mouse don't work

Every now and again when I log into Vista my keyboard and mouse do not work.
They work ok to click on the user name and key in the password but when
Vista has finished loading they are no longer working. The OS has not
frozen - the clock on the sidebar and the system tray keeps updating.

I am using Logitech MX3100 keyboard and mouse with the latest drivers.

Any idea what might be causing this?

Denis

Re: Keyboard/mouse don't work

Are you using SetPoint 4.0 or the native Vista drivers for all the
Composite/HID and mice/keyboard drivers ?

Re: Keyboard/mouse don't work

OK, I'm assuming your battery level is fine on both. I would
probably press the Connect on the receiver and then connect each
device. I believe a "Connect" press toggles the channel used. I'd
also press Shift Lock or Num Lock and make sure the HID driver
is displaying the state properly on the screen.

Re: Keyboard/mouse don't work

I just checked the battery levels and they are good. I did press the
Connect button on the receiver and then on each device last time this
happened but this made no difference. Will try Shift Lock and Num Lock next
time the devices don't work.
