Vista - GPU usage

All,

I have about 30 applications running, from SQL client, Dev Studio, this,
office 12 (word , excel, outlook) + lots lots more.

I hit windows key and tab, it all goes 3d, and.... the CPU does not budge at
all, it keeps at 3%, I hold the key down, it spins the windows very fast,
CPU still at 3%.

So... the proves that vista really does take advantage of my GPU and this is
very good

but..... i would be really nice if I could see GPU usage

and..... what about LAPTOP power consumsion, the CPU as evolved over the
last few years, it has got better and better with battery usage, I don't
think the GPU has needed too, if you are playing a 3D Game, you expect your
battery to go quicker, but if I am move windows about, and glass is on, then
your LAPTOP battery may not last as long.

I am not an expert on GPU arch, but I would be very interested in any
comments from one.

I would also like to see a GPU usage monitoring tool. Since the GPU is very
important in Vista, you'd think there'd be one. I would like to see it by
the CPU usage in the task manager. The only problem is that it might be too
late to add this... (By the way, my FX5600 came today and is installed.)
Now the only thing left to do is wait for Vista...
