Windows Mail Help

I am using Vista Home Premium and use Windows Mail for newsgroups. The
problem is that I cannot reply to a message in Windows Mail by clicking on
the reply button. When I do click on reply, it takes me to my inbox at my
default mail client, Thunderbird. I can use reply to group button and it
opens to the compose page in Windows Mail. I want it to do the same when I
click on the reply button. I have searched the help file and did not find
what I needed. Thanks for any help.

Dennis

Re: Windows Mail Help

Follow these provided by Ramesh Srinivasan [MVP] to set Windows Mail as your
default email client:
The default mailer is supposed to open. Try these steps:

Click Start, select Default Programs
Click Set program access and computer defaults
Click Custom, and select Windows Mail
Click OK

Then, follow these steps:

Click Set your default programs
Select your mail client from the list
Click Set this program as default
Click OK

Thought it was fixed...but it only will reply to "Sender." I would like
to reply to message and not sender.

Re: Windows Mail Help

Hi Dennis,

To reply to a newsgroup message, you have to use the "Reply Group" button.
The "Reply" button would send a reply to the email address of the individual
poster of the newsgroup message - not often useful, as the poster often uses
a fake email address.
