Missing Preview Pane

My Explorer windows in Vista don't show the preview pane at the
bottom. I already tried selecting "Organize > Layout", but I am only
offered "Menu Bar" and "Navigation Pane" as options. No "Preview
Pane".

Is there anything I can do to restore this option ?

In Windows Explorer go to Organize/Folder and Search Options. In the top of
that dialog box, select the Show Preview and Filters option. This shouild
make those options appear properly.

The area at the bottom of the screen is called the Details Pane. The Preview
Pane appears on the right side of the window.

Yep, that did the trick, thank you very much. Now that I can actually
see those panes, I'll also get the terminology right.
