Vista - Vista will not remember Explorer window sizes

Hello all,
I promised I searched both web and newsgroups for this; please forgive me if
this has been covered ad nauseum.

I cannot figure out how to get Vista to remember the size of the Explorer
window I have opened, dragged out to the size I want, then closed. I found
some fixes on a few websites, but none actually worked in the real world.

Suggested by Shawn:
You will need to reset the folder view settings. Look at method two in
this tutorial for how to do it. The download will be the easiest way.
This will allow Vista to remember your settings as you last left them.
