Vista - cannot open start menu

cannot open start menu

Vista System was working fine, now when I click on the start menu orb the
start menu does not come up. I cannot figure out what happened. Please help
if possible.

Hi,

First, simply reboot and log back on, see if it starts working. If not, then
we need to look at what processes are loading at boot.

Amber,

If you use your Window key on the Keyboard does it work? and also if you
switch to Classic View does it work then?

Try doing a System Restore before you started experiencing this problem.
That is if you had a System Restore Point created.

Hi Amber,

First, try what Andre mentioned, a system restore to a date prior. If that
fails, locate msconfig in Windows Explorer and run it, it should be under
C:\Windows\system32 and place the system in diagnostic mode. Reboot and see
if you are able to make it work.
